PROJECT DETAILS Design & Build of 3no Storage Warehouses and the refurbishment of existing fire damaged unit including associated external works and drainage.
BRIEF - Replace a number of extensively fire damaged industrial storage units with new modern energy efficient warehouses. We worked closely with the clients own specialist contractor who installed the mezzanine racking which formed the core element of this multi storey storage facility. The units also comprised ground floor offices featuring glass partitions comfort cooling etc.
SOCIAL VALUE - The scheme helped replace important employment opportunities which had been lost following the catastrophic fire which had destroyed the previous buildings.
CHALLENGE: ABNORMALS AFFECTING SITE VIABILITY - There were a significant number of relic underground structures which resulted in the need for dynamic re-design of the new foundations as the work proceeded and the obstructions were uncovered.
